MK Delta Lands

NSDA Architects (with Perry + Associates Landscape Architects) were engaged to produce a development plan that would facilitate the ongoing improvement of physical, social, environmental, and economic wellness of the site. Addressing affordability, accessibility, building connections with arts and culture, conservancy of the adjoining Burns Bog area, supporting park connections and greenways, were all considerations of this land use plan.

The proposed development plan prioritizes greenspace and designs the site to carefully protect existing habitat, wetlands and mature stands of trees. The residential area would be made up of 450 (3-storey) townhomes and up to 650 (4-storey) apartments. The neighbourhood commercial area would have a maximum of 130,000 sq. ft. retail, including a grocery store to serve the residents in this walkable community.
